Our Damon has two Carrier A/Cs and the front one quit on us in August 2017 while the wife and I were camping for a couple of months in Arkansas.  A local repair shop installed a new Coleman Model 47201A876 along with the control interface so I could continue to use the existing Carrier remote control.  The remote unit worked satisfactorily during the 2017 and 2018 summers. However, recently at home, I noticed that with the remote set to AUTO,  once the interior temperature is reaching the remote SET POINT, the unit will not power down to the lower speed, nor will it eventually shut itself off, as designed.  On AUTO the compressor along with the fan run continually as if I had the remote set to the HIGH setting.

Any suggestions of what could be causing the unit now to run on a HIGH and not ever quit while in the AUTO mode.  Even if I adjust the remote to its highest setting (90 deg.), it still won't shut off.  This unit is only a year old with about a month's time on it.
