Our old coach had the 800 pound monster tv in an upper cabinet, we removed it and repurposed the cabinet with stereo, sat receiver etc.  Our new coach (to us) already had the tv-ectomy, but used a flat screen in its place,  I am planning on using that TH, but putting it on a different mount.  I ordered a drop down mount from Amazon,  the plan is that it will drop to a non-neck craning level, and live up high.  A safety strap will be installed to guard against premature launching while driving.  It is a winnebago, so very strong steel cage up there, It has a pretty thick piece of ply up there for the present swing out, but I may further reinforce with some steel bar.

Anyone else try out the drop down mount?  Alternatively the tv would travel on the bed and be set on the dash or engine mount.
