Trying to diagnose the LP system on my 2-way Norcold 6182.

Here is a video of exactly what is happening:

https://youtu.be/DP8J5L2hDpo

- Spark is generated
- Pilot light ignites
- Flame is not being sensed
- Sparker does not turn off

Any Suggestions?

Here's what I've tried so far:

- replaced control board
- cleaned out orifice
- scrubbed Sparker with steel brush

Is it the spark sense electrode, orifice, or ignition controller?

This is my first Norcold project, is the sparker supposed to ground out on the orifice tube (shown in video)?. I thought that the flame grounded the spark, completing the circuit.

Any input is much appreciated!!!

Here's a link to the Norcold N6X series units.

The spark electrode is also the flame sense. So, if it has a problem, the control board will not know the flame is present and will continue to attempt to light the burner.

Have you change the sensor/igniter?? Even though it sparks it may not sense the flame adequately.

Don't forget to thoroughly clean the wire connection, a dirty connection will prevent the already very low voltage "lighted" signal reaching the control circuitry.

... But it should spark only  3 times (3 sparks) and then stop. The refer then has to be turned off and then back on to start the sequence again. If that is not happening, suspect the ignition module itself.
