We got some good wildlife photo?s while on our Great Northern trip. Thought we would share 10 of them with the RV Forum.
The swallows were hunkered down in the bushes and on the roads at Devil?s Lake State Park in North Dakota. It was nice when we went to bed but the wind and rain were really blowing when we got up the next morning. The birds were really staying low.
Joanne really enjoyed the wildlife at Bowdoin National Wildlife refuge in Montana. We watched this pronghorn for 3-5 minutes. He knew he was safe.
Eastern Glacier was really full of wildlife at the end of May. Here are pictures of a black bear and a coyote that were in the park. We also got a good look at two grizzle bears through our spotting scope but they were to far away for pictures.
The mountain goats could be seen at the Salt Lick pull-off on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River while we were driving to West Glacier.
While we were staying in the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park our camping neighbor (the guy with the cut little travel trailer) told us about the very nice drive along to coast at Crescent City. The 2.5 mile road is named Pebble Beach Dr. and was well worth the drive into town. Third Street at the south end of the drive ends right at the ocean and there are many shallow pools of water there that the osprey seem to love to fish at. That is were we took these four pictures at.
The last photo is of the common poorwill that is really a very uncommon bird. We were very lucky to look up and see him sleeping at a rest area on our way east out of Reno
