Some of us are heading to the Desert Bar tomorrow for lunch. If anyone wants to come with us, meet at our motorhome (red Tiffin with RV Forum flag) at 10:30 am on Sunday.

It was a fabulous potluck !  Kevin saved the day with his  easy up enclosed tent  to save our hot dishes from the cooling winds.

It took a little longer to go through the food lines but hot food was safe  from wind and blowing dust.  Yum Yum Yum plates were piled high. Desserts were so plentiful we needed an additional table!

Many stayed all afternoon to visit and  by evening a campfire warmed our chilled bones.  It was  another beautiful Quartzsite RVForum rally.
A few  photos....

It was a good rally and another yummy potluck.  We loved seeing our old friends and making new ones!  Safe travels and see you next year or somewhere down the road.

Kevin, I pm'ed you, but then thought I'd post here so the other members camped at Park Place might join.  If I can talk the DW into it(still asleep, and I ain't waking her right now)we'll meet you guys at Tyson St and 95, near the fire house.  I'll be leaving Park Place at 10:30 and I'll have the CB on 20 if anyone else has one.

Good Morning Quartzsite!  It has been too long since our last time, but we got back and happy to be here, yet today the show ends and we need to head back.  Our bg shopping list was whittled down really well, found some matching cabinet doors and hinge and pulls to finish our oven to storage project, 2 6 volt batteries to replace our 12's.  (another story that is not over yet!), a new light for over dining area, day/night shades to replace mini-blinds.

Great seeing some of our old friends and meeting a bunch of new ones.  Fun driving around Q and seeing new places and old stand-by.  We spent an entire winter here back in 08/09 and got pretty familiar with the town.

The big tent had the right amount of Brit accented hawkers of products.  Somehow vegetable peelers sound better with accents.

Today we head back to Tucson area, but for the rest of the season we will be in Benson at the SKP park.  We are on the waitlist for a lease, but managed to get a shorter term to stay.  Looking forward to our time there with fellow forumites the Parks and the Wainwrights.

Next year we will be among the missing, heading to Florida for the winter.

It was kinda sad to see everyone pulling out this morning. It meant the week was over. It was very fun and went by very fast. There are still a handful of us hanging around and we are still doing happy hours at 4, so anyone in the area who wants to are welcome to stop by.

Some of us decided to go to the Desert Bar northeast of Parker along a rough rocky road. It is definitely an unexpectedly fun place, completely off grid, and only open during cooler weather on Saturdays and Sundays. The place is certainly rustic, but they operate a number of separate restaurants, a full bar, a small shop, and have live music. There are a few pictures I took along the way to show the desert is definitely greening up with all the rain this season. There is one I took of our group eating while enjoying the music, and then one of the site. It was awfully nice to be sitting outside in 70 degree weather, drinking beers, and listening to music with friends.

Two days ago was like pulling the plug on a bath tub, the place emptied the same way, with just the dregs remaining. Now I know who is responsible for all the traffic.>>>Dan

Got home to snow today -- had to plow my driveway before I could park the rig. Looked like about 4 inches on the ground, but it was bright and sunny today -- precip must have been a day or two ago. BTW, my current temperature is 18? F.

I do want to ask some of the long term eras where the RV Forum stone for the fire pit needs to be put when we leave. Does it go in the wash? Under a tree or bush? Gotta make sure it can be found next year!

I'm not a fire person  but if I recall " they" said they  just turned it  upside down around the fire ring and left it there.  From past experience things left in wash disappear.

Some pictures of last nights sunset. Though no camera can show the realy beauty.
