Looks like I am going to have to replace my Norcold 1200 in my 2006 Revolution LE. I have located a repair center in Monroe NC called RV & Camper Refrigeration.  They will replace with a rebuilt cooling unit, rebuilt in house. It comes with a 5 year warranty. Just was curious if anyone has used these people or have heard of them. I live in SC so looking for someone in Ga, SC or NC possibly.  Thanks.

A five year warranty is only worthwhile if they cover the installation expense should it have to be replaced.

I would be somewhat untrusting of a rebuild but there is an alternative.  Amish cooling units are very popular replacements.  Here: https://rvcoolingunit.com

Good luck.

I would suggest researching replacing your Nocold with a residential refrigerator. If you research the discussions here on the Forum I believe you will find a just about unanimous consensus that it was one of the best upgrades ever done on a coach. Spouses love the extra cooling and freezer space, the temperature never varies, and the cost of a new Samsung is just about equal to a cooling unit.

We also just received our first (of 3) $735 check from the Class Action lawsuit against Samsung.

There is little advantage in choosing a rebuilt when new replacements are available at similar prices.  Why take a chance?  A new cooling unit isn't all that hard to install - no special skills or tools required - so you could have a top quality new unit delivered to a shop near you and installed.  OR do-it-yourself - many people do.

The residential fridge alternative is worthwhile as well - it's what I and many others have done.  It's a good choice unless you boondock (camp without shore power) often.

Does anyone know of the places within 200 miles or so of my zip code....29841 that can make the residential change out?

Thanks

I would start with http://rvservicereviews.com/ and see what you can find.
