are the only thing left from my skyliner antenna.

Doing research online I see that parts are an issue and Im thinking I dont have enough left to justify trying to save whats left.

What do you guys suggest me doing, Id like to remove whats left in the roof cause if its not doing any good I say get rid of it but maybe I ought to leave it alone cause I have no leaks and dont want any...but then again I am gonna clean the roof and re-seal so maybe now is the time to get rid of it?

What can you suggest on a new antenna. I will be using the camper on my wooded property and there is ZERO cell phone reception, not sure if that is gonna be any sort of indicator on TV reception?

Im not interested in cable TV or satellite or anything like that. We dont use TV even in our home here but out in the woods with nothing better to do at time it might be nice to have a couple of channels.

If you want Over the air TV (And I do recommend it reason follows) Winegard Sendar IV and optionally the Sensar Pro wall plate device (NOTE this is an option for even better tv)

IF you do not. Leave it. No leaks is good. Or remove it and dlap a 11x11 Eternabond patch over it (your choice) use plastic wood to fill the hole first or some other product.  But I'd just leave it.

WHy do you want TV.    Well in most markets one of the channels is WEATHER..

You will also need a coax wire coming up through the roof. The previous owner may have just cut it off and sealed the hole with caulking.

I think they did cut the wire. I dont like TV nor radio but internet is nice cause I hope I never get too old to learn

I see motorhomes on Craigslist for free but I havent seen any small ones that I could move myself. Id move it, take what I needed and scrap the rest

I'll throw out there that I'm very impressed with the Winegard Roadstar RS-3000 that came on my new camper. I was a skeptic when I bought the camper and was disappointed it didn't have a typical Winegard crank up and aim antenna as I have had pretty good luck with them, especially after adding the sensor Pro add on to them. This is an omni-directional antenna and receives signals from 360 degrees. There is no crank up, there is no aiming.

I was expecting to have to replace it as I figured the range can't be worth a darn if your not aiming it. I bought it home and parked the camper in the same spot I had my previous one where I received 32 channels with the Winegard Sensor Pro. Bought a TV and installed and ran a channel scan and I get 50+ channels now! I get some duplicate ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX channels from Dayton Ohio (I live on the east side of Cincinnati) and a couple of my local channels that previously were iffy and would digitize in and out come in loud and clear now.

I took it to the local State Park a few weeks ago on our shake down trip which is about 15 miles further away from the broadcast towers than my home is and I still got 30+ channels.

Never been a fan of omnidirectional antenna's before as I've never had one that competed to be as effective as the ones you aim but with all the channels this picks up, I can get used to not having to remember to crank it up or down upon arrival and departure and point it. One less thing to not have to worry about forgetting or setting up.
