That switch is the power to your TV antenna. With the switch off you can receive cable to the TV, while with it on you can receive over the air TV. And that thing between the switch and light is for connecting an additional TV via the F-type connector. I'm surprised it's over your sink, though. Can someone tell me what the little switch on it is for? It lights up red when I switch it.

I dont know why over the sink either, Im just gonna lengthen the wires and run them to the back so that I have a 12 volt receptacle back there.Larry N. said:That switch is the power to your TV antenna. The TV I bought is OK, I have nothing to compare it too other than my home TV set. Picture is just so so, not what I expected.sightseers said:Here is my favorite "All things 12 volt store"............https://www.my12voltstore.com/default.asp
I bought the big Jensen 12 vt. TV and it's great...but as with all flat screen TVs the sound sucks.
So, you will also need a separate sound supply.

I need to bring it inside and plug it in, maybe it will look better with house voltage

The TV may have been set to ECO mode in order to conserve battery life.
