Can someone suggest a fairly good "driving" route? (40"DP & towed) Time is not a problem.

With driving as a criteria, there is only one route I-80 to the Bay Area and over to US 101 and head north. The other routes, CA-299 for instance, occupy a lot of warning space in the Mountain Directory -- never a good sign for driveabilty.

Last May we drove in a circle between US 101 and I-5 traveling from Petaluma to Ukiah to Sacramento and back to Santa Rosa on 101. We were staying in a campground near Clear Lake east of Ukiah so took CA 20 east from Ukiah to I-5. We have a 40'+ coach plus an SUV toad. There were hills and curves along 20 but nothing that really stood out and worried us (other than getting into the Campground <G>).
