A small blob (scientific term) of clear silicone caulk on the bottom corner, with a Dairy Queen style curly Q on the end to guide water away from the slide should fix the issue, be cute ;D and cheap.

Park and set up with slide side a touch lower . Where do you think it's being damaged? Underside?
