Class A extra wide passenger seats?

We have a 2003 Fleetwood DP. My wife is interested in an extra-wide passenger seat so there is more room for her and our 70lb dog. I searched the RV furniture sites and don't see one offered. Does anyone on this forum have experience with this kind of project? Assuming we can find one are there any downsides to installing them? Thanks in advance.

One of the major manufactures was featuring one that they called "seat and a half", but I don't remember which one. The only real draw back I can see is that if it hangs over into the entry walk way to far and is an issue.

We had one in our 2001 Newmar that was oversized and had a built in foot rest. Not sure who made it and I no longer have the MH so can't check. :-[

An "extra wide seat" is also called a couch.>>> ;D

They are called "buddy seats" and we had one in our last coach. It was factory equipped Flexsteel seat, so no "project" involved for us.

You may have to change out the pedestal (the bigger seats often use a wider swivel base and have some extra features), and of course you need enough space for the width (don't forget room to swivel a wider seat)

The passenger seat in our Tour is an extra-wide seat, so I know Winnebago has them, although I don't know who manufactures them.
