While the walls of the RV are fine, the tape (about 3/4" wide, and covering the seams) is buckling and looks horrible. I first tried cutting the bubbles and flattening it out, but it looks worse, and I would rather just replace it. I'm not trying to match the color by the way, just preserve the function of it - whatever that is. Is it just aesthetic? Can I just remove it? If not, is there a way to find a replacement? What is it called? I have searched for everything I can think of: "wall seams," "wallpaper seam tape," "RV wall tape," etc, and can't find anything that seems like the same stuff. Is it even necessary? Can I use something else? Melamine tape?
Thanks, you guys are the best!!

It's simple a cheap way for the factory to cover seams in the paneling.  You can leave it off if you don't mind the aesthetics, or replace it.
Panel seam and edge tape is not unique to RVs - you can often find it at home centers such as Lowes or Menards or Home Depot.https://www.lowes.com/pd/Panel-Tape/3594046https://www.menards.com/main/mouldings/panel-mouldings/american-pacific-1-x-25-sahara-seam-tape/5093007/p-1444423625854.htm

Thanks for having my back you guys!  Certainly appreciate having a source for the product AND knowing it's primarily an aesthetic choice.

Happy Holidays to you both!

Why even mess with tape? just use thin wood strips like you would in a home. They can be finished in paint or stain.>>>Dan
