Thought house batteries would charge when driving. Something is wrong?they are discharging. What should I do?

I'm not sure about the View/Navion but the Class A units have a "battery mode solenoid" that operates when the engine is running or when the battery boost switch is operated which bridges the house and chassis battery banks together for charging from the engine. This Trombetta solenoid is notorious for failure, I replaced three or four of them before I upgraded to a Blue Sea marine combiner.

You might have something completely different on your chassis though.
