I am up in the lake effect snow region of Indiana thru winter this year. I have the aluminum steps that lift up into the doorway of the camper. I don't want to use salt on the steps for fear of corroding the metal. What have y'all been using?

There are allegedly non-corrosive ice melt products, e.g.Ice Melt XM And Snow-Joe Melt.  Having moved from NY to Florida in 1977, I have no experience with these or any similar products.
