Has anyone had experience with the Main Street Station RV Park in Las Vegas, NV.  We are attending a family reunion next year and will use this RV park as a place to park our RV while we stay in a nearby hotel where the reunion will take place.  Security is my main concern as we will not occupy our RV for the 3 days of the reunion.  Unfortunately there is no where to park an RV near the hotel hosting the reunion except for Main Street Station.

Don't have any experience with Main Street Station. But check with the hotel where the reunion is being held. If you're not staying in the RV and let them know you're staying in their hotel and just need a parking spot, they may have a space in their parking lot.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

I agree with Don & Peg....check with the hotel.

We went to a reunion years ago and parked the motorhome and toad at the hotel where the reunion was held. We had a room there and they said it was fine with them to park in the lot..

IF the RV park still exists (Check with the hotel)
First: I was there in 2006 so it's been a while.
Second: Surface is paved
Facilities are key locked (They give you a key) Check in with Hotel
Location is a long block north of Freemont Street (Easy walk) behind the California Casino (ALso a main street property)  Next to the elevated freeway and an off ramp (Lots of traffic noise)
A stone/block wall seperates you from both the Central Bus terminal and an EMS garage (More noise)
Not a good area .... but.

When I was there if I returned on foot after dark a Bicycle riding security guard escorted me home.
We had no problem.. Plus FREEMONT is a major attraction as well.. Truly enjoied it and if I ever return to Vegas for more than 2 weeks I'll be staying there (For 2 weeks I have pre paid parking elsewhere).

The only issue I had was ... The site I had been assigned had a truck parked on it. I took the sight next to it (Which was vacent) and before setting up notified registration (Hotel) they said "OK" changed the computer log to show me on the "new" site and sent security to the double site parker 2 sites over.

It?s fine, we?ve never had a problem there. Lots of noise from the adjacent freeway. Only one vehicle entrance. There is walking access under the freeway, thru the California Casino?s parking lot. But I would check with the hotel where you?re staying about parking the RV there. Some have truck parking where they also allow RVs to park so long as no one stays in the RV.

There is oversize parking in the Main St Casino parking lot. They are nice and big, tour buses also park there. There is very good security 24hrs. A security guy even patrols on a bike thru the parking lot. 8 dollars for 24 hours, best deal ever. They are very nice there and the place feels safe. We stayed in the parking lot with our Truck Camper for two days over the New Years, no one bothered us or said anything to us, it was obvious we were staying in the T/C. The RV lot is adjoined to this parking lot, but the freeway pillars block RV's from passing under lot to lot, so there is a separate entrance for RV's. Short walk to the Casinos and Fremont St. If you decided to stay in your RV, some freeway noise is going to happen, some folks live in a city and are used to it, we don't, very rural here were we live. Next time I'd bring a small table top water feature or fan for some white noise. There is a fenced dog area next to the oversize parking area also,,,gregg
