GPS recommendations (Garmin?)

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!

My Garmin 760 is very good if you can give it an exact address. It will take you there.
The Search routine for finding something by name is a little weird. An EXACT NAME will usually turn up something close, but it can get lost fairly easily.
Also, when you do give it a name, or something simple, like "restaurants" or "Fuel" it will show anything within range, in every possible direction, sorted by distance.
And the view-able map is frustratingly simple, with little or no useful information on the screen.

Google Maps on my Kindle Fire 8 is far more user friendly, as long as I have Wi-Fi available.
I've taken to setting my phone as WiFi hot-spot, and hosting the Kindle.

That works pretty well, back East. not quit as reliable west of the Mississippi.
