Grounding
« on: April 11, 2019, 11:25:21 PM »
Seeing that there is no healthcare section and the subject of grounding deals with the outdoors, I figured this would be a good place to put this topic.

As we get older, we develop more aches and pains. Most people reach for the pain killers in the medicine cabinet.

I reach for the ground.

Back in 1988, I broke my elbow in a roller skating accident. Last night, it was hurting pretty bad, so I took 2 Ibuprofin. The pain went away in 2 hours. This morning when I woke up, my elbow was hurting just as bad as last night. I sat down at my computer and put my feet on my homemade grounding plate. THE PAIN WAS GONE IN 15 MINUTES

YES, GROUNDING WORKS

It is remarkable just how well our mind can overcome pain when we truly BELIEVE that something we are doing will resolve or fix a problem.

So I guess we should go barefoot as much as possible to make a good ground contact?  Shoes of any sort are an effective ground isolator.

I worked in an industry where I routinely wore a wrist or ankle grounding strap for hours at a time. I don't recall it ever reducing any pain I might have been feeling when I put the strap on.

I'll bet that grounding doesn't work as well as taking a bath in orange juice while wearing a copper bracelet.
