Wainwrights arrived at Sam's Camp Sunday evening in time for the continuation of the Fishing Derby.  Dan & I went out fishing this morning and was back by 09:00 with our limits of fish.  See attached photo.

I see Dan caught a bunch on his end of the stringer and you only got 2 from what I can tell  LOL

We have been going out to Ackley Lake South of Hobson.  Went out again this morning for about 11/2 hours and had to come back as we had caught our limits again.

Come to Sam's Camp with an empty freezer.  Ron & Dan have been filling ours up, and I need to get more Food Saver rolls next time we hit Sams Club or Costco.

We're having a great visit with Ron & Sam.

Jeannine

Well today Jeannine and Dan departed Sam's Camp after a good time.  In the attached photo of us having dinner in the house enjoying fish caught that morning.  The other couple are friends of ours from Nova Scotia, Vince & Jean.  included in the photo attachments are a photo of Vince and Ron's catch , Dan mowing the lawn, and Sam's suprise birthday party on Sat.

Sam & I enjoyed the visit and we all had a great time.  Dan and Vince both made the same comment on the fishing at different times which was "I have never seen fishing like this"  Both enjoyed the fishing and that we got our limit every time in less than two hours.

Terry why don't you and Betty bring Fred and Daisey to Sam's Camp so you and Fred can get in on some real good fishing? :D ;)

Glad y'all had a great time Ron. Thanks for the photos.

Glad Sam had a good birthday party!

Hey, it looks like Dan found something new to ride.  Kinda like a kid in a toy store.  Did he actually do any mowing or did he just ride it around playing??

I think Dan had a good ride but I will let him tell us just how much mowing got done.

Good catch Ron!  Looks mouth watering.

We left Newmar with lots of booty.  A new awning with new fabric, because the wind sensor was somewhat erratic.  A new backup camera and monitor, because there was a mild yellow vertical stripe on our monitor.  A new Norcold refrig, because the water line broke and Norcold told them it was easier to fix at the Norcold factory, so replace ours with a new one. Free installation of a temperature sensitive equipment fan in our electronics cabinet over the driver seat because in the Phoenix sun our DirecTV dvr kept turning off after giving overheating warnings.  When we asked if we could put in a manual override switch to turn the fan off if we were boondocking, they did so gratis.  A promise of a new TV when we come next year, because the front panel audio and video inputs stopped working.  They said they may also have to do a cabinet change because the new TV will be different (and better) since ours is no longer carried.  New grates on stove top because the tech did not want us to mess up his good looking work with scratched up grates.

Newmar has also begun a return to long term warranties.  Already two year warranties for high end coaches with consideration being given to the return to 3 year warranties.

We had a great time at Newmar, and tonight we are in Mt. Pleasant Soaring Eagle Casino in Michigan, just north of the Spartan Chassis factory.  Expect to be at Mackinaw Mill Creek CG tomorrow evening for the next three nights.  Planning on spending a day at Mackinac Island.  Then we will begin slowly wending our way across Route 2 heading for Sam's Camp.  Be a while yet, since we are smelling lots of roses along the way!  :D

Sounds like Newmar treated you very well Smoky.

Sounds like Newmar treated you very well.  Like I mentioned before if I hadn't know better we might have thought you went to the American Coach factory service center.

Enjoy Machinac Island

Looking forward to your arrival at Sam's Camp.
