In preparing the TT for an up coming trip, I had to replace the bower motor on the furnace so I shut the LP tanks off during the process and while waiting on the blower motor to come in.
Well I put everything back together tonight and when it was time to test fire the furnace I turned on one of the tanks and noticed an LP smell. Nothing visible and very faint. Went ahead and completed the furnace test, then got a spray bottle and mixed some dish soap with some water and checked the lines/fittings from the tanks to regulator, sure enough BOTH of them are leaking. It is where the hose is "Crimped" on to the fitting that attaches to the tank. Wiggle it and it gets worse.
Unit is 7 years old. Looks like the 12" hoses are going to be about 18 bucks each but at the price of LP and for safety's sake, thats cheap insurance!
Sooo, bubble check them connections and the hoses for any visible deterioration such as cracks!!
