I have a 2004 National and having dash ac issues.  I think it is something to do with the actuator  or vacuum hoses, just don't know how to find out.  Stay on defrost, ac comes on but just hoping there was a way to find out a way to trace hoses to see if they are pinched or off somewhere.  No suction at all on the end under the dash.  Any help would be awesome!!  New owner here.

Perhaps more important than chassis, what brand of dash a/c system is it, Evans Tempcon or Denso?  The 2002 Dolphin LX we had was an Evans system but the dash mode & temperature control was from a GM vehicle, as I recall.

Also, what is it doing or not doing?  You began to explain about defrost mode but seemed to have skipped the details and went right to tracing hoses.  Are there air doors that aren't moving when they should? Air going to passenger vents instead of defrost vents? Tell us more.
