Idaho Rt 12

I may be towing my 29' travel trailer from Kooskia to Missoula in September or October. The map looks like there are a lot of switchbacks. I'm comfortable driving in the mountains. Is this route doable with a travel trailer? Are there any low tunnels or bridges?

I think you mean US 12. If so then tractor trailers use that route

That is a beautiful drive, it would be spectacular in fall. You won't have any problems although it is a bit of a grind over Lolo Pass.

Just traveled that road on motorcycles. As stated, great road with trucks and trailers traveling as well.

As you may be aware, the Lewis and Clark Expedition used that route on their way to the west coast. As I recall, the group got pretty hungry because of lack of wild game in that area.

They. ate heir dogs for food except for Merriweather Lewis's dog.
