Had a relaxing day flyfishing Giraffe Creek at the southern end of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. 45 miles drive from base camp down through Star Valley and over Salt Pass. Easy access from the highway and no distance to hike to water. Thanks to Tim Lassen for recently showing me this little gem.

I have just started to learn fly fishing. I belong to a group called Healing Waters. It?s an organization dedicated to helping disabled vets through fly fishing. We tie flies, fish and just enjoy each other?s company.

A friend living in our home (CA) community and member of our ukulele band teaches fly tying to a group of vets. Not sure if it's the same or related organization.

Both are relaxing and rewarding activities. I've fly fished since I was in grammar school, and still carry my fly tying kit. But I tend to buy most of my flies nowadays.
