I  left my travel trailer plugged in and forgot to turn off the electric water heater. The water has been disconnected. Will this cause it to burn out the element or will the tank stay full of water and be ok. Won't be back for 5 days.

You should be fine. You'll have plenty of hot water when you get there. No one will be using any of the hot water so the element will just start when the hot water cools a little. The tank will stay full of water.

Like they say, you will be fine as long as you did not also drain the water heater tank.

The OP said "or will the tank stay full of water and be ok" so I guess they did not drain it.

I did not drain the water heater only disconnected the water supply. Was concerned if water may evaporate from being constantly heated with no new water source and burning out the element
