2018 Winnebago View 24V
« on: September 15, 2019, 06:44:21 PM »
We just purchased 2018 View 24V. I read the owner's manual and from what I read the only way to empty the gray water tank is by using the built in  pump?  We so, I have never seen of any rv with that type system.

If it has a macerator system, that may be true. It's fairly common on high end coaches that have permanently installed macerator pumps and use small-diameter drain hoses. The small hose is more convenient to use and store, and you can drain the waste water over longer distances or uphill terrain.

Update: I checked the 2018 View brochure and it does indeed have a macerator pump system for waste water.

Winnebago does indeed use a macerator pump in some of the smaller units, it was a surprise to me as well.
