Locks

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!

Most storage compartments on a TT use the 751 lock, so they are only to keep one honest.  Door lock?  Depends what you plan to keep inside.  Personally, I wouldn't but I live in a fairly low crime rate area and my 32" TV is only worth a couple hundred and it does have a lock to keep curious kids out.

Replace all with new. Now you wont have to bother with the locks for a while.

If it gives you more piece of mind, sure, but there is no technical reason to do so.  Many common-use RV locks have only a few different keys anyway (the #CH751 is extremely common) and you may not be able to use some of the more sophisticated locks simply because the door isn't designed to accept them. And last, I'll agree with Arch that anybody can get into most any RV in 15-30 seconds with any simple tool, e.g. a screwdriver, a hammer, a pry bar, etc.
