What awesome pics you guys!  The one with everyone in the car is classic!  That could be the cover of a RV magazine!  Call it "Adventures in RVing"

What a great time! We ended up staying several more days than we had planned... as did others. Very relaxing, and great to see folks again. If anyone ever needs to put out a fire, contact Garyb1st. He brought with him some homemade fire-starting thingys (they looked like cow pies) and they were the only things in the fire pit that wouldn?t burn. We haven?t laughed so hard in months.

We started getting a ?Low Coolant Level? warning while driving near Yuma, which automatically limits the engine to 70% of its output. Had to put 1.5 gallons of coolant, and about half a gallon of water in the radiator to make it up the grade on the way home. Took it to Freightliner today and they said the radiator cap was not sealing properly, so coolant was being dumped out through the overflow tube. So now we get our 2nd coolant system flush in three months. Oh well.

I didn?t take many pictures this time, but I attached a few of them here. Hope to see other Forum members and friends out there next month.

Kev

Kev may have been the only one to get sunrise pics. So peaceful that I slept through them  ;)
I got some great sunset shots though. And oh the stars! We saw numerous satellites and a couple meteorites.

Tremendous  views, great people, meeting new friends, Nightly campfires, fire-baked cherry pies, happy hour beverages (including snowshoe shots), four mile hikes through the desert all made for a great time.

Looks like you all had a great time! I bummed I couldn't be there, but looking forward to the February meetup. Can't wait to be in KOFA again and seeing everyone.

Pam and Kevin are happily set up in Death Valley until Monday morning, but we will be arriving at KOFA on Wednesday (assuming no high winds).

Jeff, the generator section is adjacent to the Border Patrol checkpoint where you exit Hwy 95. I told them you'll be parking in the secondary inspection area, so they're expecting you. (You might want to make sure your papers are in order)

Today's weather report said Santa Ana winds are supposed to be here (San Diego) starting Friday. It's hard to say what that can mean for KOFA. I didn't hear how strong they're supposed to be, but we won't be crossing the I-8 pass if they're predicted to be strong. It's not unusual for the CHP to close the pass to high profile vehicles when they're strong. Hopefully, they won't be, and we'll get to KOFA Friday night. Safe travels everyone.

Kev

That's right Bill. Cyndi likes you better than she likes me, so you really need to come out and say Hi to us.

Kev

Looks like they?ve dropped the Santa Ana warning for the San Diego area, so we?re heading out Friday night. They?re forecasting an 80% chance of rain on Saturday, for the Quartzsite area, but it?s supposed to be sunny and clear starting Sunday. Sounds perfect.

Well, I came close.  Got all our crap done in Arkansas this past week, the house is gone, the money is in the bank and our last doctor appointment is today.
Not pulling out until Monday morning due to some family stuff over the weekend.  We'll probably be in KOFA for a couple of nights when we get to the Q, but a couple of weeks late.  We're taking the scenic route this time instead of just blasting across I-10 or I-40.
Sorry to hear I might miss the wind...not.
You guys have fun.

Arrived back in KOFA around 11 this morning. The drive from Yuma was in light to moderate rain. We turned off of  Hwy 95 on to Kings Road River.

All's well now as the sun is out and the dust is settled.

We had a great turnout for the February KOFA rally. Some came for a few days at the beginning, some came later, and some were here for the entire time. We're all flexible! It was wonderful to see everyone again and to meet a few new folks. KOFA is one of my favorite places to camp. Our weather was variable with a rainy day, some windy days and some nice sunny days. I believe it is the greenest here that I have seen it. The saguaros are fat and happy and lots of wildflowers are blooming. Here are a few photos - we never did get a group photo however  :(
