Thanks Reg, that was the site I was thinking of in my above post, but just couldn't remember the name.

Been there many-many times and try to make it two or three times each year. Where to stay depends on how much you want to spend. The French Quarter RV park is very nice and walking distance to the French Quarter but is $100 per night. Adjacent to the park is a large paved public parking area that allows RVs for $50 per night but it is dry camping only. About five miles away is Jude RV park, nice place and secure for around $50; love the owners and they have a shuttle system back and forth to the French Quarter.

Lousiana is a reciprocity state so if you have a Concealed Carry Permit, utilize it and carry a gun with you at all times. If not, keep one in your RV at least. Do not stray far from the river or Bourbon Street, especially after dark. Take advantage of the public transportation; the bus and street car system is good, fairly secure, very affordable and the street cars can be fun. Watch out for pocket picking, they are professionals!

We are leaving next Thursday morning heading that way for Mardi-Gras 2020!! Reservations at Jude RV park and looking forward to their shuttle.
