I don't know about the McCloud River but I would like to tell you that I was recently very saddened by the news of a young Canadian man, (35 years old) who drowned while fishing in the Clark Fork River. I saw the two float tubes guys floating leisurely by our cabin at 9:30 am and word was he drowned at 11 am. I do not know the details but word is that he was getting out of the river and fell on the rocks and hit his head. His tube flipped and he drowned fastened in by the safety strap. So for you or anyone going out in a river in a float tube, please be careful. Terry has a float tube in storage.
