Looking for a used TT and wondering the good and bad of considering a trailer with a wood frame vs aluminum. Other than weight does one hold up better that the other? I going to look at a 1998 Sportsman w/slide out. 26' I have been searching the internet and watching prices and have a good idea now on the going price for a good deal so I expect to pull the trigger in the next two weeks.
Thanks for you input.

I would prefer a metal frame over wood but would not give it a major weight in a buy decision.  Other than weight, a wood frame is more susceptible to water damage if you get a leak somewhere and all RVs develop leaks sooner or later.
