At the RV show today we saw a new brand of 5th wheel, Alliance. They seem to be a nice build quality, attractive layout, and decent materials.
Their first Paradigm models were built in September 2019. The brand is unaffiliated with other manufacturers (e.g. Thor, Forest River, etc.).
We're giving serious consideration to purchase. Has anyone here had any experience with or exposure to these units? We'd be grateful for any input.
We purchased a 31RL Alliance Paradigm fifth wheel in March 2022. There are a few minor things that the dealer needs to fix, but I hear that from everyone who buys a new RV. We've only had it out twice so far, but we really like it. We had a 37' KZ Durango Gold that was stolen from our storage yard and never recovered. This 31 foot Alliance has basically the same floor plan (which we love), but not the length of the 37', which we also love.
The builders of the Alliance worked for another manufacturer, so they are not new to the industry. What we like is that they surveyed thousands of RV owners to see what they liked and disliked in their RV, then designed the Alliance products based on the results of the survey.
Pros: self-closing doors and drawers, no carpet, huge atrium windows (nice for the view), lighting everywhere (even dimmer switches, which is nice for evening tv watching), room darkening roller shades, HUGE (turkey-sized oven) and 4-burner stove, and tons of storage (even behind the fireplace).
Cons: bathroom storage is a little small, no built-in vacuum (not a deal-breaker, but it would be nice), master bed is a little hard to make due to it being king sized and having the nightstands extend out. I do like the nightstands on both sides of the bed though!
We still have more camping to do, so we'll see how it measures up. So far, so good!
