Start baby start !
« on: February 22, 2020, 04:32:22 PM »
Planning a short winter trip up to where the snow is.  Had to get the TARDIS out of the storage lot where it has been for the last 3 months.  Lethargic crank, crank, crank and almost - just almost - start.  Ugggg.  Went to check things out but my van voltmeter was also dead...real dead.  Aaarrggg.   Connected the house batteries to the starting battery and after 3-4 more tries got it started.  Replaced the 7 year old engine battery when I got it home.  Nothing is easy.  But that's the way it goes.

That is one of the nice things about most motor homes..... That BOOST switch.

Tell me.. Is it Bigger on the inside than the outside????

Nothing adds excitement like something that is none of your business
My Home is where I park it.

Hard to believe but the vans first battery lasted 13 (THIRTEEN) years. I have never had them last for that length of time.  6-7 is my normal.

John - being able to join the house and starting batteries together has saved us 3 or 4 times over the years.  Oh, yes it is much bigger on the inside.  We have two levels  ::) ::)

Beautiful little YT video in your signature Block.  I saw the Grand Daughter and the Domino game and it made me think back when Grand Pa let me beat him at checkers 50 something years ago.  The Grand Daughter will be talking about that trip for the rest of her life.  Can't wait for our first Grand Daughter Trip this summer. BTW.  I love your Map of States visited, impressive.  We will get there too, someday.  Thanks for sharing.
