Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a great day! Currently working on a little project to install a 43" tv in the master. Thinking about using two 2"x3"s to go across the 50"width with a few 12" studs in between the two boards so that I can use the full motion wall mount. I've attached pictures to help with the visualization. I will also paint the boards and get a black out fabric to go behind the portion of the window that the tv would cover if it becomes an issue. Any suggestions? Horrible idea?

So, I decided to go through with the project yesterday. Here is the final product.

I used 2 2"x3" measuring 50 1/4" to get a snug fit between the cabinet and the built in. I removed the facia from the left interior of the medicine cabinet to place a board, giving the right side stability and reducing potential damage to the facia by screwing it into a heavier board. I did pilot holes for all supports so there wouldn't be any tearing. So far, so good. No squeaking, no cracking noises and no visible shaking or wobbling even when jumping. Going to give it a few weeks and let you know if everything is still together and in one piece. :p
