Im still trying to get used to saying "yall" (you all) and "likat" (like that) lol  but im getting there.    I saw my first belted cow yesterday, its all black and has a perfect white band around its middle.  I guess the breed is from scottland and so i guess someone is breeding them and selling them here.  Here is a link..

No doubt that these facts are what is leading to the mass exotics and overwhelming homeless problems... Love the income statistic, lets talk about the cost of living and/or the cost of doing business.. We won't mention the fact that the state and local governments are bankrupt!

Population.  California has lost a few residents but the number entering the state exceeds those leaving.  We're still growing.

Homeless.  You got me there.  But keep in mind they're homeless, not brain dead.  If you gotta be homeless you still don't want to freeze to death.

You got me on the cost of living.  As I said, lot's folks would like to live here but it's pricey.  Residents in California can leave the state, sell their home, buy another in Texas and a nice motorhome with the money that's left over.  Doubt many Texans have that option.

Bankruptcy.  No question, we're almost as bad as the U.S. which will probably be $30 Trillion in debt in a few years.  IIRC, in 2016, one candidate said he'd pay off the debt in 8 years.  To bad we didn't elect him.  Or did we?

Take a read by Forbes; I believe that this independent assessment of the two states says it all.....

Here's some honesty

                          California          Texas
Health care          #7                    #37
Education            #21                  #34
Economy              #4                    #15
Opportunity        #42                    #39
Fiscal Stability      #42                    #12
Median Income    $35,046            $29,525
GDP                    2.797 Trillion      1.645 trillion
Population            39.5 million        28.3 million
GDP per capita      $70,810            $58,127

It would appear the socialist liberal state is doing a tad better than the great state of TX.

Here's another.  Balance of payments    California  -$13.7 Billion  -$348 per capita
Texas  $36.2 Billion  $1280 per capita
Looks like Texas get's more from the Feds than they pay in.

Looks to me like the liberal socialistic state is helping to finance the great state of TX.

Here is more honesty:

About 691,000 people left California to live in other states in 2018, new census estimates indicate. At the same time, roughly 501,000 people came to California from other states, creating a net loss of about 190,000 residents in 2018. California has lost more people to other states than it has gained for much of the last two decades, census figures show.

Don't think so Bro....

Twenty-seven states and the District of Columbia lost population through net domestic migration between 2018 and 2019, six of which had losses over 25,000, and three of which experienced losses greater than 100,000. The top states with net domestic migration loss were California (-203,414), New York (-180,649), Illinois (-104,986), New Jersey (-48,946), Massachusetts (-30,274) and Louisiana (-26,045).

Texas is the fastest growing population in the nation.

"In TEXAS an unexpected enemy gets a lot of attention. In a television ad for lieutenant-governor that aired last year, Dan Patrick, the winning Republican candidate, looked sternly at the camera and warned of a grave danger. ?Truth is, Democrats want to turn Texas into California,? he said. ?Well, I?m not about to let that happen. What about you?? United in concern is Greg Abbott, Texas?s Republican governor. He predicts that excessive regulation could turn ?the Texas dream into a California nightmare?. ?Don?t California my Texas? has become a rallying cry for Republicans in the Lone Star State. You can even buy the bumper-sticker."

Check out the definition of Domestic migration and then reread the comment.

"The term net domestic migration describes the total number of people moving to a state from state minus people moving to another state from that state."

Reread, now what?? My statement is that people are leaving the state and that is the fact.

You're overlooking those moving in from outside the US and live births within the state.

California is losing residents.
According to CNBC Special Correspondent Jane Wells and her research into the 2019 U.S. Census, California lost an estimated 190,000 residents last year. Wells stated that the number is based on state-to-state migration, and accounting for births in California during 2018.

Not sure how illegals play into this...

Come on now, this is all in fun!!! Get a big smile and join in on the fun today.

To me your continued jabs-- which you initially claimed to be just "fun"-- at those with opposing views are sounding more and more antagonistic and definitely not anything at all like good natured ribbing.

No jabs intended. Facts about California's declining population are well documented as are the reasons for this decline.

We spent a month exploring Texas...El Paso, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas Ft Worth, Houston. Great place with a ton of stuff to see and do.

I'm especially impressed with their road system. Dual freeway type of thing where you can get off the main road and still have a wide road to travel on.

Nice friendly people everywhere.
