People living in vans and RVs are getting squeezed during the pandemic. The situation for people living in vans and RVs in the US and Canada is challenging but slightly easier than Europe.

I was notified yesterday that if I return to MI before May 2 (I would normally return last week of April) I have no place to park.... Thankfully there is a facility along the way I can spend a few nights at for a reasonable fee and I leave on pay day #1 so I should have the needed fee.

The two campgrounds I stay at. one changed the check in so I basically show my card (THrough the window) and phone the office to let 'em know where I park (do not know how they get me my hang tag perhaps security delivers)  The other one I can phone it in no need for personal check in  .

But sadly the governor closed 'em all till May 2.. She got a polietly worded blast from me or rather will when she gets into the office next.

Snowbirds becoming temporary full timers.
We own our RV lot in Key Largo and normally go back to our northern home in the end of April, but now we are thinking of staying since it is probably safer here, than on the roads going back.
There are a few others that are doing the same.

I'm willing to bet right now the May 2nd date will be extended, most likely another month.  Even the optimistic infection models put the peak rate around that date, so almost no chance any state will relax restrictions then.

I don't think they will extend the deadline. After all, by Easter the problems will be over. ::)

Totally agree.  We need more encouraging news.  Wish those damned docs would keep their opinions to themselves.   ;)

I think SeilerBird was being facetious. And I am more inclined to listen to the doctors and Gov Cuomo than the daily briefing we get from that other guy.

Are you honestly saying you think Cuomo and the docs know more than the real estate guy.  Most of the docs education is highly specialized.  The real estate guy also has expertise in steaks and universities.

You?ve got a point there. He has expertise in closing casinos and bankruptcy too.

My opinion, the truth is, American can not handle the truth.  If the truth was told, and we were told today this was going to last until August or September, can you imagine the chaos.  Talk about an instant complete society meltdown.

True.  But you might have been of the impression that things will be greatly improved.

At some point, we need to be following the advice of those that know.  Not those that demand loyalty and have an unquenchable need to be surrounded by a bunch of sycophants.

Direct quote from Mr Trump:

March 24
?I?d love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter.?

? Fox News interview

He claimed many times at his rallys that it was a hoak perpetrated by China and it would go away as soon as it got warm.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/politics/trump-coronavirus-statements/

Hoping for something and saying that's the way it will be are two different things.
"I'd love to have my house in mint condition by Easter" is true, when it doesn't happen, that doesn't mean I was wrong or lying.

I agree that that it would be great to have things back to normal by Easter. I completely agree with that statement and can?t imagine anyone who doesn?t. No one said things WOULD be back to normal by then.

Trump NEVER called the virus a hoax. This lie by Biden has been repeated so many times that that people now believe it to be true. The actual quote is readily available for all to see.

Happy Wanderer -
not to spoil your day, but here ya go:
"Thirty five thousand people on average die each year from the flu. Did anyone know that?" Trump told supporters at a rally on February 28.

"Thirty five thousand. That's a lot of people. And so far, we have lost nobody to coronavirus in the United States."

"Now, the Democrats are politicising the coronavirus? this is their new hoax."

CDC is now recommending that everyone wear masks when out in public.  When announcing this new guideline Trump repeatedly emphasizes that wearing face masks is optional.  He personally isn't going to wear one.  According to another article, he and Pence are not going to see anyone who has not previously been tested for the virus.
