PFDs, or personal floatation devices (aka life vests) can be a life saver. Reminds me I have an article on PFDs in draft. Here's a photo of our youngest grandson with his Grandpa and another with Grandma. Note that we're all wearing PFDs. Our grandson knows that he's not allowed on our dock, let alone on a boat, without a PDF. He now dons his life vest automatically without any prompting.
