How do you eliminate the loud squeal during the HWH type slide retraction/extension?
The salon (long) slide on my 36G Meridian squeals loudly on retraction and extension. HWH replaced the slide blocks, adjusted the slide and tells me it operates normally. They advised me to never use a lubricant or silicone. I have cleaned the slide rails, but it still squeals.

No.
Told me NOT to use silicone or any lubricants on the rails. Said the noise was caused by dirty rails. Cleaned, noise.

HWH is correct generally speaking. There are dry lubricants like graphite that would probably help but not attract dirt. I use my pressure washer to clean the slide mechanism.

Not sure if this is true in your case.  I have a full wall slide and I noticed that it squeaks from a roller on the slide topper awning.  I use the same lube I use on the steps to keep it from squeaking.  If your noise is lower not sure what is causing that.  Good Luck
