The term narrow boats has a unique meaning, referring to boats that navigate the narrow canals of the UK.

Anyone wishing to take a narrow boat holiday is in for a treat.

I am sure I do but they haven't been unpacked yet.  Very narrow boats usually powered by a V8 with a long shaft going from the engine at an angle into the water. We took a tour of the canals on one.  Interesting ride.
