Want to take my bike south this winter. We have a cougar 22rbswe, that has a factory installed rack on back. Plus our spare tire, want to put my bike on back of camper.. on a secure rack. Anyone done this? Hope my pic uploads, shows bumper but it does pull out 3 feet, need a pic of that.

Ideas of where to start?

Here are three ideas.

That rack will not hold the weight of a bike unless it is a pedal bike which I am sure yours isn't  :-[

It is a trek navigatior 300 aluminum,  nothing fancy, just bought used..

Okay. It is a bicycle. Many people see the word bike and think motorcycle.

Ha, yes just a pedal bicycle... sorry about confusion...

I keep trying to copy and past a link, it won't let me do that. What is secret!

ONE BIKE

I bought this Hitch receiver
https://www.amazon.com/OxGord-Carrier-Receiver-Adapter-Bumpers/dp/B01LZBN1IC/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=rv+bumper+hitch&qid=1600293222&sr=8-8

This bike rack
https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-50027-Hitch-Platform-2-Bike/dp/B07GBPBW1T/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hitch+bike+rack&qid=1600293293&sr=8-5

These bumper support brackets
https://www.amazon.com/Quick-Products-QP-SBSBU-Standard-Support/dp/B081BM1CS2/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=rv+bumper+support&qid=1600293358&sr=8-2

and it works fine.  I wouldn't recommend doing this for more than 1 or 2 basic lightweight bikes.  I have thought about mounting an eyelet part way up the back of my trailer for safety / security reasons.  The bumper where it is welded onto the frame part is your weakest link.

This is what I made using the same receiver brackets from Amazon.

I didn't mention this in my last post but have used this when bringing my bikes and trailer. I only use my trailer for my motorcycle or Jon boat (one or the other) so tongue weight is very low but obviously bikes add to it. In our RV we have a rear camera so I can keep an eye on the bikes. With this on my car I can see both in the rear view mirror. Something to consider.

I am looking at this bike rack for the RV... thoughts... if we do decide  to carry two, it will at no problem.. just need the brackets that give us a 2 inch hitch like someone suggested below..
