Hi everyone,

Just bought myself a 89 Dodge Ram Van Conversion.  I love it.
As you probably realise it is a bit limited on storage space.
This is where my questions begin.

Power
Power wise, I realise I am going to need an inverter. I need to run mainly my Laptop and external harddrive, possibly at times a microwave.
Now I have read some forums that suggest the golf cart 6v batteries are best, so I feel these I will get.
My only problem is where to house the them - Any suggestions?
Also if I was to get 2 what size inverter would I be able to run?
or if I got 3 what size inverter would I be able to run?
Is there a way to calculate the drain on the batteries over night?

Then to keep them charged would a solar system be sufficant? or what size would be required?

Is there a site that explains simply (maybe even diagrams) how to set up such a system?

Storage
I would like to buy one of those roof containers, but I need one long enough to store my snow skis.
Any suggestions as to where to get a good deal, and what brands are available?

Well I think that is all the questions I have for now.  I am sure I will have more.

Have a good one
Thanks

Congrats on your 'B'

For running delicate electronics or microwave ovens I suggest a 'Pure Sine Wave Inverter' such as the Xantrex RS2000 with built-in 3-stage 100 amp battery charger.

Go with 2 group 27 12 volt AGM batteries and you'll be real pleased with the outcome.
