Mexico, Puerto Penasco, San Felipe

I'm thinking of a trip to either of the above. I have never visited either or  taken an Rv to Mex. Traveling in a 2010 Winn. Vista 26P with solar.
I live in Mesquite Nv.
Appreciate any advice or experiences .

We drove the road from Mexicali to San Felipe and beyond.  It was a good road then, many years ago.  Better than what we had in California. 

We made it from Vista (near San Diego) to our destination 40km past San Felipe in about 7 hours.

Things have probably changed but my Aunt & uncle live down there in the winter.

Puerto Penasco is open with caveats.
You must have a reservation to stay. You must show no symptoms etc
