Darkness On The Delta

The Delta Strummers were founded here in Discovery Bay on the California Delta. In their early years the group thought that the song 'Darkness On The Delta' would be a good theme song, and played /sang it in a number of performances.
Origin of the song was in the Mississippi Delta, in 1932. Here's the wiki:
