I have an issue with a gas leak in a Norcold electric/propane fridge.  The dealer has been no help except to suggest that I give him $1500 to replace it.  The dealer tells me that no parts are available for it.  I could use a little guidance on this one as I have already replaced the burner assembly, but the gas leak seems to be comming from the thermostat control.

Guidance please.

There is no gas going through the thermostat on a propane refrigerator.  The thermostat is just a device to electrically control the refrigerator.  The refrigerator uses a closed cooling system, and once it develops a leak, there is really no recourse but to replace either the cooling unit or the entire refrigerator.

When you say "gas leak", do you mean that you have a propane leak or a refrigeration gas leak. There are two different gases involved with the refrigerator. Does it smell like rotten eggs or ammonia?
