Action photography

Ever wonder how they take those action shots of waterskiers and ski boats? Several times a year local waterways are used to take action photos of new models of ski boats. As you see from these photos, a chase boat is rigged with an elevated platform for the photographer. In the case of the moving shot, I wasn't expecting them to come by us, so I had no time to change any settings on the camera, thus the poor photo.

Tom, reminds me of a couple years ago when a fishing show came to our lake for a shoot. they had a similar rig and a livewell full of nice fish to put on the line so they didn't have to worry about finding the bass.
 
That's cheating Robert. At least these folks had real waterskiers.

Probably had a bunch of fack rubber fish too. ;D  Like Tom said that is cheating.
