We're now Texas land owners

Well, in order, we'll never give up the Packers license plate holder.  Not all Texas residents are Cowboys fans, by a long shot :)  Once a Packers fan, always a Packers fan.

We don't plan on doing any boating on Canyon Lake, unless they have a sail racing fleet, then we might do some race management work.  Haven't been here long enough to see if they even have a yacht club.

Murchison was much better than Jerry (best team my money can buy) Jones.  American's Team, hah.  Jerry's team.

Tim, we're having the prickly pear cleared along with most of the cedar.  We've walked the property and avoided the cactus.  No cholla, thankfully.  No gun rack either.

Robert, thanks, we've been Texas residents for over 10 years, now it's just really official.  We've always liked the hill country and came here this year with intent to purchase some land.  It really hurt to see Bret go out, but Rogers is holding his own.  He just ran for another first down :D

Russ, we'll still get to AZ, but not every year.  We'll have a place for you when you come this way.

Well get crackin' on clearing the satellite blocking trees!

We'll have at least one site that's satellite friendly, and probably two.  The trees are for shade.  No worries :)

Well. well, well:  Ned and Lorna finally settling down :).

Peg and I wish you both the very best in this move.

Ciao,

Doug

Doug

We are not planning on settling down just because we bought land.  We bought now because it was being sold at a price we could afford and in an area that we really like.  It is in an area that has much to do and see, also, two airports close and medical nearby.  Besides we still get hitch itch after being in one place for a couple of months ;D

Russ

The fellow that will be doing the work for us claims that he can get pads and septic done in two weeks.  What we will have to wait for is water and electric but not sure about that.  The oak trees stay but a number of the cedars will go.

Thanks all for the good wishes.

Ned,

We will miss you and Lorna for breakfast at Mi Fajitas. I guess you will have to find a place down there.

Good luck with becoming Texas property owners.

Jerry & Arlyne

Ned & Lorna:

Glad you found your place, enjoy!

Ned:

Now Lorna can take care of the Endeavor while you mow grass and cut wood. ;D ;D

Jerry, you still eating at that firetrap? :)  We are going to try to stop in Yuma in early March long enough to go see our dentist in Algodones so we can probably make one breakfast.

Jeff, no grass to mow, no wood to cut, it's perfect :)

Congratulations, Ned and Lorna.
You now own a little piece of G-d's country. ;D

We hope that you are not taking the results of last night's game too hard.  ;D

We are expecting Barb and Frank at the LSC this afternoon. R y'all coming down this way?

Regards,
Jack and Liz
Go Cowboys!

Good news, bad news. Great for you to find such a nice place. Not too happy if you won't be out here every year to get together with all the framily. When is the RV park going to be open ??? :D ???

Last night was just to soften the Cowboys up for the championship game.  Lull them into over confidence :)

Ned,
Make sure you let us know when you get here, we may even get Terry and a few others to show up.

Jerry

Jerry, we will, to be sure.  Can't miss breakfast, just don't burn it down again before we get there :)  I think Terry and Betty will be gone by March, but there should be a few others still around.

Ron, we'll be about 8 miles from Potter's Creek Park which is on the north shore, where we're camped right now.  Beautiful COE campground.  About 4 miles from the west end of the lake.

Hopefully it also convinced Favre (and hopefully he'll be back soon) to get back to the game plan they've played this year. Rodgers did a nice job of running it.

Don't blame Favre, blame the coaches, they set the game plan.  I just hope his arm heals quickly.  Fortunately, they have 10 days between games this time.  I was impressed with Rodgers too.

Congrats!  We love the Canyon Lake area!  Always have a good time there!
