My un-answered question after many years on the computer:

    Re: Temp Internet files settings "Amount of disk space to use".

What is the optimum value (in MB) to use for medium amount of web use?

-Dell desktop - Firefox (latest update) 13 GB hard drive. ( 9 GB free).

    What are the downfalls for specifying too little or too much?

There is no optimum value, it can even be 0.  It's only used to save downloading page elements that haven't changed since the last time a page was accessed.  If there is no cache, then everything gets downloaded each time you access the page.  It's also possible that pages don't correctly report when they've been changed and the browser will use elements from the cache and not get the updated elements from the web server.  That's a downside.  The upside is that for pages that are coded correctly, they will load faster if they haven't changed.

If you're ever in doubt about how current the web page is, you can always go to the "View" tab and select "Reload" or "Refresh" to get the most current version.  If you right click on a web page and select "View Page Info", it will give you the time and date under the "Modified" heading.

LOL, my first mistake was to get up early. Second was posting the table in the wrong place. Glad you got it.  Seems that after 8am all is fine - hi-speed all the way.
Will keep an eye on it during the day.
