I just discovered that the axle is bent on my 1997 Camplite by Damon pop-up.  What could have cause it.  I don't load much on the camper.  The axle is bowed down in the middle causing the tires to be in at the top and out at the bottom.

One good pothole could do it if the axle is loaded up somewhere near its limits. Do you know how much weight the axle is rated for? Just because you don't add much gear does not mean the axle is not already near its max. Do you know the trailer's GVWR Which should also be the axle GAWR (I'm guessing this is a single axle trailer).

Hi, I'm new to the forum and am reading all the various posts, and learning way too much!  This post had me searching my DexterAxle Operation Manual and you guys are so on the money....overload....requires alignment at alignment shop (and lessening of load).
