Jerry, you're absolutely correct. Thought it would be interesting to see how spill chuckers did with the first sentences of correctly spelled words.
First, the original sentences:
Dsleobuts, but cnolvuodet , uwkonnn, and acrihac dleiacitc pgleshooray mghit pvore tmolruobese. A wknriog kglewnode of the vraclboauy is nsstteeeciad.
Next, what it really said:
Doubtless, but convoluted, unknown, and archaic phraseology might prove troublesome. A working knowledge of the vocabulary is necessitated.
What our Forum software thought it should be:
Dissolutes, but convoluted , eking, and acrylic deistic plowshare mg hit pore tmolruobese. A Enrico gleaned of the vraclboauy is nested.
Finally, what MS WORD thought it should be:
Sellouts, but cnolvuodet , unknown, and archaic deictic plethora might pore tmolruobese. A wining kglewnode of the vraclboauy is nsstteeeciad.
As you can see, neither one scored highly, but I'd have to give the edge to MS WORD for "unknown" and "archaic". The Forum software gets the nod for creativity however, especially for substituting the name "Enrico" for "working"! Where did
that come from?
If anyone uses different spell checkers, why not run the same (above, in red) sentences through them and post your results? Might be good for a few laughs
