Hello,
I have a Onan Marquis 5500 and a possible problem. The geraerator makes a clicking sound while running. The sound is very familiar to the "priming" clicking noise at start up. It makes the noise almost exaclty every 2 minutes and lasts for about 12 seconds. I purchased the MH used last fall and the generator has always made the noise. The generator runs fine and I have put about 160 hours on it in this condition, but I afraid it is a sign of trouble. The control panel is not flashing any error codes and it does not skip a beat. Between Nascar and Football tailgating, i will not have much down time to have it repaired (thats why I havent yet). I have check for loos connection and all appears solid.
Any help would be much appreciated, sorry for the run on.......
