Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have a satellite tv question. I thought I new a lot about satellite tv but I need some help from the experts. I did a search but could not find a similar post.
Several years ago I installed my own Dish Network home system and it has worked fine since. I just purchased a used Dutch Star with the Winegard MV3500 antenna system. I tried to hook up my home receiver today and I could not get it to recognize the switch or receive a signal. My receiver is an EcoStar model 3900. Is there a compatibility issue? I did make sure that the Winegard was set to DishNetwork by taking off the dome and confirming the switch positions.
Unless someone here can help me, I will have to resort to taking it in to a shop. (sounds expensive)
