Having experienced a shaking trailer everytime someone stepped on the steps, I searched the rv forums for ideas on how to support the steps.  Some people would use blocks & some used jacks.  Not wanting something else to have to carry, I devised a set of telescoping supports that are stored on the step themselves.  The storing was the idea of Newt&Jan.

Very ingenious!  Thanks for sharing.

Would be fine on an RV with a fixed suspension, but should not be used on a motorhome with air suspension or hydraulic leveling jacks.  If either allows the vehicle to become lower after the step stabilizers are installed, the step could be damaged.
